Our single biggest asset is our people – they are so knowledgeable. With their help and training, I progressed from Sales Assistant to Store Manager within four years. Over the next four years, I completed the Retail Academy Programmes – Manager and Senior Manager Development. I managed several stores and had frequent visits from directors – they’re really accessible and want to hear your views.
From here I managed Gatwick South Terminal with over ten units, followed by the opening of our new stores in Heathrow Terminal 2. Managing multiple units in demanding locations is challenging but rewarding. One year later I moved into an Area Management role. This led to me being seconded to our largest overseas territory – Australia, where I managed several stores. We’ve grown quickly there, increasing our six stores to over fifty in three years.
