Job Overview
Cult Pens started selling online in 2005, and were the first self-confessed pen geeks in the online retail space to sell all pens individually rather than in multipacks and to actively seek out rarer colours and refills. WHSmith acquired Cult Pens in 2017 and has since built a team and has continued to accelerate growth.
We now have a new opportunity for a Goods In Operative to join our team in to assist with the day to day administration and support for our department.
What you'll be doing:

Carry out all Health and Safety tasks in line with legal requirements, ensuring the safety of equipment and colleagues at all times.

Receive deliveries of stock, accurately check quantities, and store items tidily.

Book in and check off all goods received into the warehouse in a timely and accurate manner.

Handle, store, pick, and rotate stock efficiently, working collaboratively within the team.

Maintain a high level of accuracy and care in all warehouse tasks.

Support the pick and pack operation as required.

Resolve warehouse issues in conjunction with Team Leaders.

Keep the warehouse clean and tidy, ensuring floors are always clear and safe.
What we are looking for:

Good understanding of Health and Safety procedures.

Strong accuracy and attention to detail.

Good standard of numeracy.
-
Effective communication skills.
-
Ability to remain calm under pressure.

Basic IT skills (training will be provided on bespoke systems).

Forklift truck licence preferred.
-
Comfortable with light, medium, and heavy lifting as part of daily duties.
