Job Overview

The Media Sales team are looking for a Media Planner to support the planning, coordination, and optimisation of retail media campaigns across the business.

Working closely with the Media Planning Lead, you will play an important role in ensuring campaigns are built effectively for our suppliers, aligned with business and sales objectives, scheduled accurately, and delivered successfully through problem-solving and collaboration across teams throughout the business.

What you will be doing: 

  • Supporting the Media Planning Lead to build and plan media campaigns with the client facing team
  • Demonstrating a clear understanding of the campaign objectives and requirements to effectively build the campaign out with the right assets at the right time
  • Ensuring all campaigns and messaging align to our customer plan and media strategy
  • Ensuring the assets selected are appropriate for the campaign including ensuring the product/s are ranged to the locations and the location rules are met
  • Loading all media bookings into the scheduling system ensuring all briefing information is inputted including product line codes, messaging requirements and contact information
  • Supporting the production and compliance team with all booking information so they can land the campaigns right first time
  • Managing the log report for proof of execution and post campaign reporting requirements
  • Reviewing any overbookings or booking conflicts and working with the Media Planning Lead to rectify
  • Monitoring any underutilised core assets and supporting the team in building last minute plans to fill
  • Creating and sharing reports to show yield, discount rates and occupancy levels
  • Using these reports in your planning decisions to help improve these metrics  
  • Constantly monitoring any changes needed to rate cards of assets by using these reports

What we are looking for:   

  • Previous experience in planning media and/or trade activity within a retail environment
  • Strong organisation and planning skills with an understanding on how to manage a critical path
  • Good level of analytical experience and commercial acumen
  • Excellent excel skills and experience in analysis data preferred 
  • A self-starter with the initiative to drive improvement and change without prompt
  • A team player who can self-manage but is willing and able to support colleagues
  • Experience in prioritising work and managing ambiguity
