A bit about us
Our global travel retail business has taken us all around the world, including Asia Pacific, where you can find our WHSmith stores in Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Fiji and Indonesia.
Australia
WHSmith landed in Australia with our first store opening in Melbourne Airport in 2010. Since then, we’ve expanded across the country with stores in Sydney, Adelaide, Canberra, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, and even the Gold Coast. We’re perfectly located where our customers need us most – at airports, hospitals and railway stations. With c. 50 stores operating in Australia and more than 500 colleagues in the country, it’s an exciting part of the WHSmith Group to join.
As well as the iconic WHSmith stores, our brands in Australia include Fresh+, a hospital café business that serves fresh food and refreshments to visitors and patients, Long Shot, for the best coffee from around the world, Wild Cards & Gifts, offering the perfect gift for every occasion, and Supanews, for news, magazines and convenience – a daily go-to for locals!
In 2019, we also opened our first Australian InMotion, our leading global technology retail brand, offering customers in Perth airport a specialised shopping experience with a world-class range of electronics for customers' travels. Since then, we’ve expanded to open a further 6 InMotion stores across Australia.

Outside of Australia, we have c.50 stores across the rest of Asia Pacific. Our stores can be found across airports in Asia, including Singapore Changi Airport, one of the busiest international airports on the continent!
