Hear Ashley Charlery’s Story

I began working for WHSmith in February of 2022 as a Team Leader in the Liverpool Street Store up until February of 2024. The Travel Director visited our store and we talked about improving supply chain. My skills were noticed and one thing led to another and I was encouraged to apply for a support centre position! My moving from store to head office was supported by my Store Manager and my RBM, encouraging me to apply for a role that I would not have considered otherwise. I am now The Workload & Stores Communication Planner. This role involves overseeing communications before they go out to stores and much more! 

What I look forward to: The challenge of being on the other side of the curtain, so to speak, taking my store knowledge and being able to implement it in the office environment, bringing a new perspective....
